Background Information
Ito-sensei is a native of Japan. She graduated from Columbia University in New York with an M.A. in Japanese Pedagogy. She also received an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of California at Davis. Prior to teaching at CSUS, she taught Japanese in a variety of educational settings in the U.S. such as a middle school, a high school, and two community colleges. Her research interests include Japanese pedagogy, second language reading, and kanji acquisition.
