Faculty Mentors' Responsibilities

• Serve as role models.
• Meet with students on a regular basis.
• Provide academic, personal, and career advice.
• Help students establish short and long-term goals and plans for achieving them.
• Evaluate and discuss with students their learning skills and create a plan to improve those skills.
• Serve as liaison between the student, FSMP, College Deans, Department Chairs and advisors.
• Serve as advocates.
• Coordinate FSMP events.
• Teach Mentoring Courses (If applicable)
• Hire, supervise, train and evaluate Peer Mentors and/or Tutors.
