The Geology Club's 4th annual Rock Auction

The 2006 third annual rock auction beat all records in attendance and fund-raising. Some really beautiful samples were donated by local firms and mineral collectors. More importantly, the evening was a lot of fun. We were even visited by a local news channel. The games table and the "guess the number of rocks in the jar" table were very popular with children. All in all we raised $7000, much needed funds that we will use to help Sac State geology students pay for field trips and to pay for geology club events such as games night, movie night and bowling. Don't miss out on the fun later this year. Mingle with alumni, local mineral enthusiasts and professional geologists. Enjoy the food and wine while your children have fun at the games table. Buy some christmas gifts for family and friends in the silent and live auctions.
