Student Advancement Council

Meet the Student Advancement Council

Student Advancement Council 2012Leaders in the Student Advancement Council represent the student body’s interest in furthering private support for Sacramento State. As liaisons to campus auxiliary organizations such as The University Foundation at Sacramento State selected student advancement leaders receive first-hand education about how gifts from students, alumni and other friends provide a margin of excellence at the University. Additionally, student engagement promotes professional acumen, self-confidence, and advancement and fundraising as a future career path.

Here’s what Student Advancement Council members say about their involvement:

Merisa Moy (2013, Business Administration)

I joined the Student Advancement Council because of the challenging nature of the position. As a college student and member of the work force, this position truly utilized all of the skills I possess as well as allows me to apply techniques and methods I have learned from my business classes. Furthermore, it has taught me how to organize and prioritize my life, which are tools that I believe will be extremely beneficial in my future career.
