What do Student Fundraisers do?

  • Ask for financial support to the Sacramento State Annual Fund or for colleges and schools on campus.
  • Help build and maintain the relationship our alumni and parents have with Sacramento State.
  • Inform alumni and parents of events and activities on campus.
  • Update all demographic information for each person with whom they speak.

How much does this job pay?

  • $8.00 per hour after probation period.
  • Bonus: The Annual Fund is able to offer a bonus incentive program that is awarded when callers meet standards set daily by the Director of Annual Giving.

What are the hours?

Each student fundraiser is required to work at least 3 shifts per week (9 hours). Student callers choose their own schedule every two weeks selecting from the following shifts:
Sunday - Thursday 6-9 p.m.
Friday 5-8 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

How do I apply?

You must go to an information session on campus to learn more about the job. You will then be given an application and scheduled for an interview. Interviews are conducted by phone with an Annual Fund staff member. The interview will take about 10-15 minutes. Here is a list of the info sessions.

Training:
If you are hired as a student caller, you must attend five days of training. The five sessions are paid at $6.25 per hour. The hours and days of training vary from week to week.
