Our mission is to facilitate and coordinate campus relations with local, county, state and federal elected officials and governmental agencies.
In addition, the Office of Governmental and Civic Affairs builds community relationships and partnerships to advance Sacramento State and the regional community it serves.

Fostering relationships with local, county, state and federal government, providing information in response to requests from
elected officials and governmental agencies. |

Collaborating with Sacramento’s Congressional delegation to identify and secure federal resources to benefit students, faculty and staff. |

Partnering with K-12 schools and community and non-profit groups to establish and maintain partnerships that promote college
preparation, college access and student achievement. |

Engaging closely with the California State University Office of Advocacy and Institutional Relations and the California State
University Office of Federal Relations on state budget and legislative issues. |

Coordinating campus responses to local, state and federal legislative proposals. |
