Brief Biography:
Mark Brown grew up in Berkeley, California, and he did his undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz and the University of Göttingen in Germany. He went to graduate school in political science at Rutgers University. After completing his Ph.D. in 2001, he held a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Science and Technology Studies at Bielefeld University. He joined the Government Department in 2003.
