Brief Biography:
Professor DiSarro grew up in Ellington, Connecticut (a nice suburban town of 12,000, about thirty minutes northeast of Hartford).  He attended Eastern Connecticut State University, graduating in 2001 with a dual Bachelor's Degree in History and Public Policy/Government.  After a two-year hiatus from school, he was accepted into the Graduate program in Political Science at the University of Iowa, and began his studies there in the Fall of 2003.  He earned his Masters Degree in Political Science in 2004 and his Ph.D. in 2008.  While at Iowa, he had the chance to work several leading scholars in the field, including Peverill Squire, Charles Shipan, and Michael Lewis-Beck.  He also got to experience the excitement of two Iowa caucuses!!  His dissertation, which was supervised by Professor Squire, focused on the differing impacts of state institutional structures on a variety of gay rights policies.  Professor DiSarro joined CSUS in the Fall of 2008.
