ADVISING FOR PROSPECTIVE GOVERNMENT MAJORS OR MINORS

Advising for students who are not declared as Government majors is done by the Department Chair.  Please visit our Becoming a Major or Minor page for instructions on how to make an advising appointment with the Department Chair.

ADVISING FOR DECLARED MAJORS OR MINORS 

All declared Government majors and minors should already be assigned to an advisor.  Students can view their assigned advisor through the Student tab on their My Sac State account.  If no advisor has been assigned, students should contact the department for assistance.  Students who wish to change their assigned advisor can do so by submitting the Request to Change Advisor form to the Department Office once it has been signed by the new advisor.
