Brief biography
David Barker received a BA in Professional Writing from Baylor University in 1992, and a PhD in Political Science in 1998. He joined the Department in Spring of 2013, after 13 years at the University of Pittsburgh and visiting stints at The University of Sydney, The University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and Sciences Po (Paris). He is also the Director for the Institute for Social Research (www.csus.edu/isr). David is the author or co-author of two books: Rushed to Judgment (2002, Columbia University Press) and Representing Red and Blue (2012, Oxford University Press).
