Alumni Mentoring

In coordination with the Government Department, the Odyssey Mentor Program and the Government Alumni Chapter are working to establish an Alumni Mentoring Program to complement the existing Odyssey Mentor Program.

Students in the Government Department have expressed an interest and a desire for alumni mentors. Alumni mentors will be able to provide advice on the types of jobs and opportunities waiting for Government students once they graduate CSUS. Whether students are first year freshmen or graduating seniors alumni mentors will be able to provide words of encouragement and support, as well as helping them to navigate through college and into the job market.

Participation in the Alumni Mentoring Program is very flexible. Alumni mentors can participate for a few hours a semester or can act as a mentor over the course of a year. Options for participation involve one on one meetings or group activities.
