Mentoring Plans

For every mentor-student pair a mentoring plan will be completed and turned in to the Program Director. The mentoring plan is to be completed by the mentor after the initial assessment has been taken. Mentoring plans will include a summary of the student, short and long-term goals for the semester or year, predicted success, potential problems or issues and a section dedicated to updates and changes throughout the semester.

Goals for mentor-student pairs may be academic or social, and will be specific to the student being mentored. Mentoring plans along with student evaluations, retention rates, GPAs, and student assessments will enable the Government Department to evaluate the progress of students in the Odyssey Mentor Program.

During summer training sessions mentors will become familiar with writing a mentoring plan. Examples will be provided to mentors during the summer/January during the training sessions. Mentoring plans will be turned in via SacCT.
