The minimum requirements for admission to Graduate Studies are:

  1.  An acceptable baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

  2. A minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) of coursework.

Please note that each program may have additional requirements, including a higher minimum grade point average. Please contact the department office of the program to which you are interested in applying for specific admission requirements.

Graduate/Post-Baccalaureate applicants may apply for a degree or credential program by meeting the minimum requirements for admission in accordance with University regulations as well as Title 5, Section 3 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), which states that a student shall have completed a four year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution, or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by appropriate campus authorities.

IMPORTANT!!! Most degree programs require some type of supplementary materials, such as a departmental application, test scores, letters of recommendation, writing samples, etc. You should always contact the department office of your intended program for information as to what materials are required and when they are due. A University Application is always required.
