Meet Our Program Staff:
Dave Evans, Ph.D.
The Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Success, David Evans, oversees the Guardian Scholars Program, as well the Academic Advising and Career Center and new-student orientation. He has a Ph.D. in geophysics, is a former professor and department chair and is a fellow of the American Council on Education.
Soua Lee, MSW
Soua Lee is the Guardian Scholars Coordinator and is responsible for program development, outreach, mentor coordination, and collaboration efforts on-campus and in the community. Ms. Lee has a Master's degree in Social Work and extensive experiences working with at-risk youth populations in various settings such as an alternative high school, juvenile detention center, Child Protective Services, and nonprofit youth & family education services. Soua holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Alexandria Hill, BSW
Alexandria Hill is the Guardian Scholars Academic Advisor. She provides direct support to 50+ students in the program. Alex has been with the program for more than a year as a full-time employee. She began with the Guardian Scholars Program as part of her BSW field work and was pleased to have an opportunity to continue working with the program. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Sacramento State University and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Administration.
