Joy Salvetti is Director of the Center for College Readiness (CCR), Early Assessment Program (EAP), and the Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) at Sacramento State.
The Center for College Readiness focuses on creating new pathways to college success by implementing regional partnerships with the primary mission of aligning curricula, expectations, and standards between K-12, the community colleges, and Sacramento State. CCR's focus is on students before they matriculate, those in the regional pipelines.
The Guardian Scholars Program is a campus program offering an integrated system of services to current and former foster youth to support their successful completion of a college degree. The program’s goals are to ensure academic success, encourage campus engagement and promote career development while nurturing students into active and socially responsible members of the community.
The Early Assessment Program was developed for high school juniors to measure their readiness for college-level English and mathematics and provides opportunities for them to improve these skills during their senior year. The goal of EAP is for California high school graduates to enter the CSU system fully prepared to begin college-level study, with no remediation.
