English 220W Writing in Your Discipline

ENGL 220W is a non-program-specific Graduate Writing Intensive (GWI) course that students can take if their graduate program does not offer a GWI course of its own.

It is only available to students who have taken the WPG and received a placement indicating that they need additional coursework (indicated by a WPG placement score of 40).

This writing course is designed to give students practice in prewriting, drafting, and revising. The goal of this course is for all participants to develop critical self-reflective scholarship through reading, research, writing, and discussion.

ENGL 220W is offered through the College of Continuing Education (CCE) during the summer and winter sessions. To register for ENGL 220W, please contact CCE.
