Registration Instructions

Registration for each exam is available online at www.csus.edu/testing/ during a specific two-week period. Registration closes at 12:00pm (noon) on the last date listed below.

No late registration is accepted.

Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities who are registered with the Services to Students with Disabilities (SSWD) office on campus may be eligible to receive testing accommodations for the WPJ.

To be eligible to receive testing accommodations for the WPJ, students must first be registered with the Services to Students with Disabilities (SSWD) Office in Lassen Hall room 1008 (phone 278-6955).

At least one week before the WPJ registration deadline, students should visit SSWD to let them know they will be registering for the WPJ. SSWD will notify the Testing Center of the accommodations. Students will then need to register for the WPJ online.

During the online registration process, students will come to a question that asks if they are a student with a disability who is registered with the SSWD Office. Answering yes to this question will request testing accommodations.

Multilingual Students

Multilingual students are eligible to receive additional time on the WPJ. By answering "yes" to the appropriate question during online registration, students will be given multilingual accommodations.

Multilingual accommodations allow students three hours for the exam: 15 minutes for instructions, 30 minutes to read the prompts and brainstorm, 90 minutes for the first essay, and 60 minutes for the second essay.

Canceled Registration

A student’s registration may be canceled for one or more of the following reasons:

  1. If a payment is not made by the payment due date,

  2. If students do not register with the Services to Students with Disabilities (SSWD) Office but indicate they need SSWD accommodations,

  3. If students have already taken the WPJ or received a grade (including a ‘W’ or ‘WU’) in ENGL 109M/109W,

  4. If students are currently registered in an ENGL 109M/109W class.

Students who wish to cancel their own registration for the WPJ should be aware of the following:

  • There is no cancellation process. The exam fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

  • There is no penalty given if a student fails to show up for the exam. A student may re-register for a future exam date.
