You can make a difference

Our vision is to expand speech, language, and hearing services to our community, meet our client needs with innovative assessment and treatment methodologies, and enhance student learning. The department seeks financial support to develop a state-of-the art clinic with space for a language and literacy classroom lab, a neuroscience lab and a voice/endoscopy lab.

Financial gifts are welcome in any amount. Potential naming opportunities include:

Kinzie Murphy Challenge Gift

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech Pathology and Audiology) is pleased to announce a special Challenge Grant for gifts directed to the Language, Speech, and Hearing Building Fund.

A generous contribution from Kinzie Murphy, M.S., CCC-SLP will match all gifts of $1,000 or less to the Language, Speech, and Hearing Building Fund for the Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology Campaign.  Gifts, effective immediately, will be matched as follows:

All campaign gifts to $250                         Two-to-one match

All campaign gifts $251 to $1,000             One-to-one match

The Language Speech and Hearing Building Fund will help facilitate the move of the Maryjane Rees Language, Speech, and Hearing Center to Folsom Hall.  The new complex will encompass 21,000 square feet and will house a welcoming reception and patient waiting area, 25 therapy rooms equipped with state-of-the-art observation equipment and ample space for both individual and group therapy, an all-you-can-hold supply room, a scheduling office/clinic coordination suite, a student clinician computer workroom, a language and literacy classroom, a NeuroService Alliance laboratory, and up-to-date audiology and endoscopy suites.
