George and Eleanor Craft Graduate Scholarship in History

Three scholarships for classified history graduate students of approximately $2000 each (actual award amount may vary) 

Scholarship awards will be paid in two installments: August and January 

All awards will be based on academic accomplishment (especially in history)
and on demonstrated academic promise

Qualifications:

  • Classified master's candidate in history
  • Minimum 9 units completed in the history MA program by end of the current Spring semester
  • Actively working through enrollment in the university or HIST 599 in the History MA program in both the previous Fall and current Spring semesters
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Demonstrated academic promise

Submit to Department of History (TAH 3080) by April 13, 2018:

  1. Completed ApplicationHist/ScholarshipsAndAwards/Craft 2018.doc
  2. One letter of recommendation
  3. Sample of writing in a history class done in the past year (5-10 pages)
  4. An essay of 200-300 words that discusses your planned course of study at CSUS, your date of graduation, and your professional plans after receiving your MA

Candidates will be informed of the Committee's decisions by June 1.
