Family Weekend & Homecoming - Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24
Join us Oct. 23-24 for Family Weekend and our Homecoming Football Game. Friday night, from 5-7 pm we'll host a happy hour at Cabana Winery & Bistro very close to campus (at H and 56th streets). Parents, family members and students are welcome. If anyone stays for dinner at Cabana, they will receive 10% off the meal. Saturday, help us decorate the Parents & Families golf cart float for our annual Homecoming Parade! We'll be decorating from 10am-12noon at the Residence Halls front lawn. Then join us for our potluck tailgate in parking Lot 8 from 3-5:45 pm.
We will have three Homecoming Committee planning meetings where you can sign up to bring a dish or contribute your ideas to the group:
• Tues 10/6 from 6-7 pm via phone - Call: 712-432-1500 [participant code = 951260#]
• Weds 10/7 from 5-7 pm at Roundtable Pizza on campus (pizza provided)
• Tues 10/13 from 5-7 pm at Roundtable Pizza on campus (pizza provided)
Please call in or attend and help us decide our float concept and plan the tailgate! If you can't make these times, you can also email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. We will need a grill, burgers, buns, condiments, drinks, chips, dips, dessert, and more.
You will need to pay for parking this year. You can purchase tickets to the game here. (Students and children 12 and under are free). We play the Idaho State Bengals at 6:05 pm. See our website for a more detailed event schedule.
Future Hornet Day on Saturday, Oct. 24 is designed especially for prospective undergraduates and their families. You can tour the campus, meet with many of our dedicated faculty, and attend information sessions on admissions, housing, financial aid and more. Meet and mingle with some of Sac State's finest throughout the day - students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends. Contact the office of Admissions and Outreach for more information (916) 278-7766.
