Frequently Asked Questions

There is a complete calendar of events—both on and off—tied to Homecoming Week. Many events are free; some have nominal registration costs. Each event listed on the main events page has details about attendance or registration.
General admission for homeside tickets are $20. Eastside (visitor side) tickets are $15. Children 3-17 years old are $10 each. Tickets may be purchased online in advance through Hornet Sports or on game day at the Hornet Stadium box office located near Gate 4. Click here for more information.
Sacramento State students with a valid OneCard are admitted free to home games. Students with a valid OneCard may purchase up to (2) guest tickets for $10 each. These tickets can be purchased in the Athletic Center at the Ticket Office before game day or at the Hornet Stadium box office located near Gate 4 on game day. Parking is limited in the area surrounding Hornet Stadium due to the Homecoming Festival and adjacent tailgate events located in Parking Lot 8. Attendees will find parking in Lot 7 and Parking Structure III on the campus parking map. Parking is $10 per vehicle or $25 per RV. The parking lots near Hornet Stadium open at 2 p.m. 
Yes, you may tailgate in parking lots 7 and 8. Parking lots are open for set up beginning at 2 p.m. Alchoholic beverages may not be served until 4 p.m. For more information, visit the Univeristy's tailgate policies page
Yes, it is prohibited to bring the following items into Hornet Stadium:
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Balls and Frisbees
  • Ice chests/coolers
  • Plastic containers larger than 20 oz.
  • Outside food
  • Cans, glass containers and Thermos bottles
  • Bicycles, roller blades and skateboards
  • Backpacks and bags larger than 10x10x10
  • Horns and artificial noise makers
  • Weapons and any dangerous items
  • Pets (except service pets)
  • Banners and poles
  • Strollers
  • Bottles must be sealed
  • Umbrellas (except in the event of rain)
  • Inappropriate signs

The Hornet Bookstore has Sac State clothing and accessories for every Hornet fan. This year, the Hornet Bookstore is offering Sacramento State Alumni Association members a 20 percent discount (10 percent year-round) at the Hornet Bookstore on logo apparel, hats and gift merchandise during Homecoming Week. Present your Alumni Association membership card to the cashier to receive the special discount. The discount cannot be combined with other offers. Some merchandise exclusions may apply.
