Advising Expectations

The Honors Program provides advising to our students in their first year and throughout their undergraduate years.

Honors Students will receive a message in their SACLINK email address communicating which of the following Honors Faculty Members will be their assigned Advisor. For convenience, a list of students assigned to Honors Faculty is located in the Honors Lounge.

Important Dates

November 26, 2012

Priority registration for Spring 2013.

 

November 26-December 7, 2013

Register for between Nov. 26 - Dec. 7, 2012 for the Jan. 5, 2013 WPJ exam.

At 60 units, Sac State requires all students to complete the Writing Placement for Juniors (WPJ) test to meet the Graduate Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR). For all information go to www.al.csus.edu/gwar .

*For test result, check MY SAC STATE after 3 weeks of the test date.

 

December 14, 2012

Last day for Spring 2013 class registratrion.

 

December 22, 2012-January 6, 2013

Class registration for the Spring 2013 is closed.

 

January 9-January 24, 2013

Late class registration for Spring 2013 resumes for all students.

 

January 2013

Spring term Honors Scholarship award disbursed.

 

January 25-27, 2013

Class registration for the Spring 2013 is closed.

 

January 23, 2013

First day of Spring 2013 instruction.

 

March 2013

Priority filling date for FAFSA. (first week in March)

 

March 4 - March 15, 2013

WPJ registration period is March 4 to March 15, 2013 for the March 23, 2013 WPJ exam.

 

April 2013

Deadline to submit Honors Scholarship applications for academic year 2013-2014. (3rd week)

 

May 2013

Honors Scholarship Committee will review applications in May 2013. Scholarship recipients will be notified the last week of May. (2nd or 3rd Week)

 

May 25, 2013

WPJ registration period is May 6 to May 17, 2013 for the May 25, 2013 WPJ exam. For updates on the WPJ go to www.al.csus.edu/gwar .

 

June 2013

Honors Program announces scholarship recipients. (3rd week)

 

July 9, 2013 - July 20, 2013

WPJ registration period is from July 9-July 20, 2013 for the July 28, 2013 WPJ exam.

 

August 13-23, 2013

Open Registration resumes for all students.

 

August 27-Sept 7, 2013

Late Registration is available for all students.

 

September 2013

Fall term Honors Scholarship award disbursed.
