Men's soccer opener ends in a drawHORNET NEWS STAFFPublished September 9, 1998 Despite a shutout by Hornet goalkeepers, the men's soccer team could only manage a draw in their season opener. The Thursday evening game against San Francisco State was called due to darkness in the 12th minute of double overtime with the score tied at 0-0. Freshman Brandon Henley, one of our players to watch, lead all players on both teams with six shots on goal while keeper Ryan Duncan recorded five saves. The Hornets take their 0-0-1 record to Las Vegas to compete in the UNLV Tournament this weekend.
