Herkie Hornet has arrived

Herkie the Hornet has arrived and he can be found buzzing around the ASI business office.

ASI is selling the yellow and black bee with a bright green nose for $5.

"It was the closest thing they had to a hornet," said Melanie Nunes, a cashier in the ASI business office. "We basically are selling them because the bookstore doesn't have anything with our colors, gold and green. Everything they have is green and white."

ASI is selling 150 to 200 Herkies at $1.50 above cost. Proceeds from the sales of Herkie the Hornet will go to ASI Student Services.

"Every little bit counts," said Nunes.

The ASI business office is located on the third floor of the student union.
