Editorial: Get Involved, Dammit!

How many times have you heard someone say that ASI doesn't do anything for the students at CSUS?

Perhaps the question should be rephrased -- when was the last time students took the time to do anything for ASI?

The student organization has a large number of positions for students on work teams and committee that directly impact the quality of life for students on this campus and, shock of shocks, most of them go unfilled each year.

It always boils down to a small core of over-worked students devoting ever-increasing amounts of time and energy trying to make this a better campus for all of us.

So, the next time you wonder what ASI is doing for you, why not get off your butt and head for the ASI office. (It's on the third floor of the newly expanded University Union.)

Yes, get off your butt and put your time and energy where your mouth is -- namely, get involved. If not, you can't blame anyone but yourself.
