Sac State Quarterback Ricky Ray Honored

Ricky Ray, a junior transfer from Shasta JC, was named to the ESPN/USA Today Division I-AA Player of the Week along with Stephen F. Austin college defensive back Brandon North and Villanova placekicker Casey Hannon.

Ray completed 19-of-27 passes for 377 yards and four touchdowns as the Hornets stomped UC Davis 48-27 in the 46^th Annual Causeway Classic.

Along with being named ESPN/USA Today Player of the Week, Ray was named the offensive Player of the Week in the Big Sky Conference. Weber State linebacker Jason Allen earned defensive honors and Orshawante Bryant of Portland State was named special teams Player of the Week.

Ray has a combined 44-of-71 passes for 610 yards and eight touchdowns without an interception.
