Study abroad - see the sights in a foreign countryDana Enfinger Students don't simply have to see the sights in a foreign country; they can study and live abroad AND earn CSUS credit at the same time. The Office of International Programs is holding eight informational meetings throughout the semester. The next workshop is on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at noon in the Forest Suite of the University Union. For many students, studying abroad might seem daunting because many assume that knowing a different language is required. That is true in many of the programs. However many programs exist that do not demand this requirement, said Janis Silvers, study abroad advisor at CSUS. "In some cases, students go to take courses in their major or minor and take classes to learn the language of that particular country," said Silvers. She said there is a lot of variety, depending on what students are interested in. For more information contact the Office of International Programs, Lassen Hall 2304, at 278-6686.
