After showing offensive balance over the first three weeks of the season, the Sac State running attack flourished in the Hornets 41-10 victory over Montana State on Saturday in front of 9,448 fans at Hornet Stadium.

Cross Country Causeway: Battered Hornets take second in Davis Invitational
The mens and womens cross country teams have lost top runners to injury, but both still took second place in a field of 16 mens teams and 12 womens teams at the Aggie Invitational in Davis on Saturday.
Assist queen: Rafferty sets Big Sky record
Senior Maureen Rafferty is enjoying her fourth season as Hornet volleyball player. She has earned two Big Sky Tournament Most Valuable Player awards and in a Sept. 12 contest against No. 1 University of Pacific, she seized the all time Big Sky Conference assist title. This Hornet volleyball veteran has been a cornerstone of the squad that has gone 79-34 in the Rafferty era.
Mens soccer battles the best: Hornets fall to No. 2 Santa Clara in tourney final
Two weeks ago the mens soccer team won their first game in nearly two years. Last weekend they were the runner up at the Santa Clara Classic, losing the championship game 1-0 against undefeated Santa Clara the No. 2 ranked team in the nation.

Womens soccer splits road trip
The womens soccer team split shutouts in their two games last weekend with a 2-0 win over Kent and a 3-0 loss to host Saint Marys in the Fall Soccer Classic in Moraga.
