Derby Days- Junior accounting major Courtney Makishima inspects Derby Days A-frames in the quad Tuesday morning. Derby Days are a week-long event in which fraternities and sororities raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network.
  • Two hundred forty students at Humboldt State University sent faxes to Gov. Gray Davis Wednesday requesting a prompt appointment of a student to the CSU Board of Trustees. About 200 Sonoma State students joined the effort, dubbed "Davis Alert Day," as well as students from CSU Stanislaus, San Francisco State and CSU Hayward. Davis, the self-named "education governor," has not yet responded to the letters, said Humboldt CSSA representative Elexis Mayer Monday.
