HEADS!

Stand and be counted

Thumbs up to the students of Humboldt State University for taking the initiative to remind Gov. Gray Davis we still need student representation on the CSU Board of Trustees. Humboldt representatives of the California State Student Association are spearheading a system-wide letter writing and faxing campaign to the governor’s office Wednesday.

HEADS!

CSUS gets high marks for MIS

Move over Stanford, Harvard and MIT — CSUS is ranked No. 25 in the nation for its master’s of science in business administration with a concentration in management information systems. ComputerWorld magazine polled more than 1,000 business recruiters for their top picks. The CSUS techno-MBA program also had the least tuition for in-state residents by far. Way to go MIS for making CSUS beat some prestigious private universities.

TAILS!

Please, sir, may I have some more?

There seems to be no place so deserted as a college campus on a Friday afternoon. By about 3 p.m., most students leave for the weekend, and food vendors close up tight behind them. Have mercy! Hundreds of university staff, faculty and students are still hard at work into the evening, many with a taste for more than a vending machine burrito or a serving of fries. May the nutrition-conscious please have a few more choices?
