The Library quad was filled with graduate school representatives Thursday in honor of the university's annual Graduate Information Day.

Over 90 representatives from schools from all over the nation came out to CSUS students about their programs. There were a wide range of schools represented, including UC Davis, Hawaii Pacific University, and Carnegie Melon University.

CSUS's own graduate program also had a booth with information about all of the different graduate schools on campus.

"It has been a good turnout this semester. Better than some of the other semesters," said Rosemarie Marinl, who works for the CSUS graduate school and does many of these

information days around Northern California.

The event was designed to make it easier for students to get information on master's and Ph.D. programs as well as information on law, business and medical schools by bringing the information to CSUS.

The representatives handed out pamphlets about their schools and a few gave out small freebies. There was even a drawing for a free GRE course.

Graduate Information Day has been held every fall for 10 years. The Educational Equity and Student Retention Office, the unit that oversees educational equity and retention, sponsors this event.
