A new parking structure is planned which will take up the current Lot 4 near the University Union, according to Ronald Richardson, manager of facilities planning.

The parking structure is planned to have 1,000 spaces.

University Transportation and Parking Services is paying the $10 million bill, according to Richardson.

Although no architect or contractor have been hired, it should only take about one year to design and a year to build. The parking structure should be done around fall 2001, according to Richardson.
