The State Hornet and CSUS were mentioned last week on Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s nationally syndicated radio program. A loyal listener and CSUS senior sent Schlessinger a letter of concern in regards to an article that ran in the Oct. 6 issue of the State Hornet about the illicit activities in men’s rooms across campus.

Schlessinger read the student’s letter on the air, prefacing it by saying, "You folks got to rev up for this one."

In it, the student voiced her concern about the activities in the bathroom stating that many young children visit CSUS everyday for various activities and she fears that children may stumble upon illicit activities while using the rest rooms. The student also asked for Schlessinger’s help in resolving this matter on campus.

Schlessinger went on to comment on the Web site, cruisingforsex.com, which lists CSUS as a meeting place for gay sex. She continued by reading some of the descriptions for CSUS, as well as CSU Fresno and UC Berkeley. Schlessinger appeared to sound openly disturbed as she read through some of the descriptions.

Schlessinger closed the conversation by saying, "I think you parents need to be aware…this has been going on for a very long time and there is no monitoring. I think that may be for political correctness. That’s pretty sick stuff, that’s pretty sad."
