1999 Men’s Basketball Preview
In what will be his third season as head basketball coach at Sac State, Tom Abatemarco will try to bring the young Division 1-AA program to new heights. Known for his fast-paced play, Abatemarco is instituting an aggressive style of defense and new offenses for his rebuilt roster taking advantage of the quick backcourt, led by sophomore Rene Jauques. “Coach T,” as players and students call him, promises vast improvements from previous seasons and has definite goals for the program.
