    CSU, CFA reach accord

    Faculty given 5-percent raise this year

    Tensions between the California Faculty Association and the California State University over issues of merit pay and increased faculty salaries may finally be coming to an end as both sides have announced a tentative contract agreement that includes a system-wide average faculty salary increase of five percent.

    Bargaining teams for both the CSU and CFA were able to reach the contract agreement last Tuesday evening, barely one week before the start of the spring semester.
