In-line skater death ruled an accidentBy Liz BaidooState Hornet Published February 10, 1999 University police have completed their investigation into the death of Caroline Emailspour and have found no evidence to support foul play or motor vehicle involvement. Emailspour collapsed October 4, 1998, while in-line skating near the football practice field next to State University Drive West. She was unconscious and died in the hospital the next day. John Hamrick,University Police investigator, said the investigation examined Emailspour's activities occurring days before the accident and her personal relationships for evidence of anyone wanting to cause her harm. None was found. According to the findings of the Sacramento County Coroner's Office, the case has been classified as an accident, said Hamrick. An expert from the California Highway Patrol concluded that there was no evidence of a motor vehicle involved in the accident. They examined the scene, the in-line skates and the deceased. Emailspour was originally from Newbury Park and was a CSUS junior majoring in therapeutic recreation. She was a resident of Sierra Hall.
