February 13, 1959 Political Geography becomes the first Sacramento State College course to be broadcast over television.

October 28, 1969 National leaders of the Black Panthers speak on campus.
November 4, 1969 Sacramento State students become the first in the state to vote an increase in fees to cover student activities.
