The Hornets (15-36 overall, 5-19 in Big West) traveled to Cal State Fullerton for a three-game series last weekend against the Titans (40-9 overall, 21-3 in Big West) and finished the series with a 13-10 upset over the No. 4 team in the nation.

Fullerton had won the previous eight meetings between the two teams. The Hornet win also ended the Titans’ 10-game winning streak.

The Hornets came back from a 6-1 deficit in the fourth inning by scoring six runs in the fifth with two outs.

Junior relief pitcher Jimmy West got the victory for Sac State.

The Hornets will next play a three-game home series against Long Beach State that starts Friday at Hornet Field.
