Editorial: Send out the clowns
It is a good thing this year’s ASI board of directors are ending their terms of office because the students at CSUS cannot stand any more meetings like the circus in the Redwood Room on Wednesday.

Faculty to vote on new contract

May 12, 1999

A three-percent salary increase for all faculty is the main feature in a new tentative agreement reached between striking faculty and California State University officials Monday.

The CSU and California Faculty Association announced the new agreement that includes an across-the-board salary increase for all faculty, guaranteed due process rights in merit pay appeals and first-time contracts for over 3,000 lecturers in the CSU system.

If approved, all faculty will receive an automatic raise of 3 percent, retroactive to September 1, 1998. The old agreement, reached on January 26, had a general salary increase retroactive to October 1, 1998.
