Cancellation Information
Requests to Cancel Housing Prior to Processing and/or Payment of Application Installment
Student applicants may cancel their housing license agreement prior to it being processed and/or prior to making payment of the Application Installment. These cancellations may be completed on-line through the housing application portal. There is no cancellation fee assessed for cancellations prior to processing or payment of the Application Installment. Also, please note that if the payment is not received by the specified deadline, the license agreement application will be administratively cancelled by the Housing and Residential Life Office. Students will need to re-apply and submit a new on-line housing application if interested in applying for on-campus housing at a later date.
Requests to Cancel Housing PRIOR to Published Cancellation Deadline
Students may cancel a housing license agreement on-line through the housing application portal or by submitting a Cancellation Request Form to the Housing and Residential Life Office by the designated cancellation deadline. The cancellation fee is $175. Any other payments on account beyond what is owed to the University will be refunded to the student.

Academic Year License Agreement............. July 24, 2012
Spring Only License Agreement.................. December 14, 2012
Requests to Cancel Housing AFTER the Published Cancellation Deadline
After the cancellation deadlines, any student wanting to cancel their confirmed housing license agreement/contract MUST meet cancellation criteria as listed in the Housing License Agreement Terms and Conditions.
Students should submit a Request for Release from License Agreement form, a personal statement of explanation, and any required supporting documentation to the Housing Office for consideration.
If cancellation of a confirmed license agreement/contract is approved by Housing and Residential Life, the student will be assessed the $175 cancellation fee plus any applicable prorated room and board charges that may accrue during the required 30-day notice period as outlined in the Housing License Agreement. Any other funds on account beyond what is owed to the University will be refunded to the student.
If cancellation of confirmed license agreement/contract is denied, the contract will remain in effect and the student will be responsible for the fees outlined in the license agreement.
