Professional Development & Training

Training

Welcome to our Spring 2012 Professional and Personal Development opportunities!

For information about all programs being offered go to our main website http://www.csus.edu/hr/traindev/ and select the program of interest.

Spring 2012 Professional Development opportunities will focus on managers and supervisors skills tune-up and Human Resources compliance.

The Managers’ Toolkit focuses on the competencies required to be a successful manager/supervisor. We encourage managers and supervisors to take advantage of two new opportunities to develop their skills in Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace and Appreciative Inquiry

The HR Compliance series provides managers and supervisors with key information and tools in the areas of Collective Bargaining, Performance Management, Harassment and Retaliation, Disability Leaves and more.

Our Personal Development opportunities include the Fall 2012 CSU/CSUS Tuition Fee Waiver program and the NoonTime and AfterWork Wellness activities.

CSU/CSUS Tuition Fee Waiver forms will be available for pick up March 5th for continuing program participants.  For those who may be interested in the program, please review our 15 minute informational video at our website www.csus.edu/hr/traindev/feewaiver.html  and email us at training_development@csus.edu with questions or to set an appointment.

Finally, beginning January 30th we invite you to reduce stress and meet your daily physical activities needs by participating in our NoonTime and Afterwork program activities.  Find a partner and learn Yoga, or tone those muscles with Aqua Aerobics, and make it a practice to engage in healthful activities! www.csus.edu/hr/traindev/noonwellness.html

For more information or questions about the opportunities listed above, please contact Ms. Kim Harrington, harringtonkc@csus.edu or call 8-6327.
