HRS for Minors & Non-Majors

Middle eastern bazaar

Many of our students are English, Philosophy, and Art majors who have discovered that the study of the Humanities and religion complements their primary fields of study by providing a better understanding of the cultural contexts in which literary, philosophical, and artistic developments have occurred. History majors take our courses in order to gain a better appreciation of cultural history.

Our General Education courses attract hundreds of students from the natural and social sciences, engineering and business, and health and human services, many of whom say that studying with us offers them a new perspective on the world and their chosen career paths.

We also offer minor programs (21 units) in both Humanities & Religious Studies, which many students find complements their work in their home major.
