Congressional Research Service (CRS) performs research for Congress and is located within the Library of Congress. Many of the reports are of a topical nature and can be very useful for research. One can obtain them free by contacting your congressional representative or purchasing them from a commerical firm. A few are issued as Congressional Committe Prints and distributed by the Government Printing Office.
