International Organizations

International organizations fall into two categories: international governmental organizations (IGOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

List of International Organizations.

The International Documents Task Force of the American Library Association's Government Documents Round Table maintains a "selected list of international organization web sites."

OFFSTATS

OFFSTATS lists web sites offering free and easily accessible social, economic and general data from official or similar "quotable" sources, especially those that provide both current data and time series. In the country lists, these are mainly web pages provided by statistical offices, central banks and government departments and agencies, whereas the topics list is comprised of links to the statistics pages of international organizations and associations and a few commercial sites.

AccessUN

Readex has created an index to United Nation documents (some are full text) from 1991to present. Besides entries for most U.N. documents, it contains the full text of U.N. resolutions and hyperlinks to selected U.N. websites. It is available only to CSUS students, faculty and staff. A CDROM version of the index from 1990 to the present is available in the CSUS Library at the Government Documents Workstation.
