Western Family Economics Association (WFEA) comprises the states of: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming; and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. 

As a professional organization, the fundamental purposes of  WFEA are to:

       A. Provide professional exchange by home management and family economics professionals through
             1. an annual conference
             2. publication and dissemination of information and educational materials

       B. Stimulate personal and professional growth of members through
             1. coordination of annual conference
             2. participation in annual conference program
             3. contribution to activities of the organization

       C. Assist professionals in program development and evaluation to meet their professional needs through
             1. program content at annual conferences
             2. professional exchange at annual conferences
             3. publications of the organization.
