Description
This course is designed to:
- provides an overview of both
qualitative & quantitative research design &
methods
- presents the basic framework of
educational research & its relationship to the
development of educational policy & practice
- provides students with the skills
& knowledge required for the development of the
master's thesis or project
- equips students with skills &
understanding to analyze & critique published
research & apply findings to professional decision
making
Objectives
Upon completion of this course,
students will demonstrate the ability to:
- identify various methodologies
used in educational research
- analyze & critique research
reports
- design & carry out research,
analyze the data & interpret the findings
- apply research findings to
educational policy & practice
- write concise reviews of relevant
research literature
