REVIEW IN DEPTH:
TRA #1a-3b
unit 1 & 2 reflections, unit 3 worksheet

PREPARE by addressing the following focus
(a **FULL TWO PAGES**, neatly written or typed):

Two more major hurricanes causing damage to major population centers across the globe and another Tsunami in the Pacific, all within a year of one another, compounding fuel shortages and doubling fuel prices over the course of a few months; all this leads to a major crash in the world economy (see "You Are Here: the Oil Journey"). Although many people are panicking, the crisis is also calling forth the kind of inspiring and courageous responses that human beings have displayed throughout the ages (see "The Great Disruption"). Along with the thousands involved in disaster relief work, civic leaders at every level of society are finally taking the concrete steps needed to restructure human culture. Such leaders are now committed to dramatically reducing power consumption and increasing the resilience of local communities, as many who saw the crisis coming have been recommending for years (see "The Economics of Happiness," also at LMC).
