October 23, 2009	There were typos found on the Finite Abelian Groups handout. I gave two new pages to replace the old ones. Also on the top of page four there was a typo, p_1 should be p_i. Lastly, (and I did not announce this one in class, since I just discovered it, but will announce it on Monday) there was an error on problem number 3. These are all fixed now and you can download an updated version here, Finite Abelian Groups.
October 21, 2009	The second exam will be Monday, November 9.
October 12, 2009	Our second exam is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4. It was brought to my attention that Math 234 has an exam the previous day. Therefore I would like to move the exam. The two options are the previous Wednesday, Oct. 28 or Monday, November 9. Please let me know if you have a strong opinion about one or the other. I will let you know on Wednesday what the final decision is.
