File

New

 

Close current graph and open new graph with single data point

Open

 

Open an existing tsEdit file.

 

Save

 

Save current graph as tsEdit file.

 

Save As

 

Save current graph as new tsEdit file.

 

Import Data

From Excel

Open an existing MS Excel file and select columns for time data and Y-value data.

 

 

From Text File

Read a comma-deliminated ascii text file.

 

Export Interpolated

To Excel File

Save interpolated values (not knots) to an MS Excel file. File an existing file is selected tsEdit creates a new worksheet and puts interpolated values in the first two columns.

 

 

To Text File

Saves interpolated values (not knots) to a comma-deliminated ascii text file.

 

Print

 

Prints current graph.

 

Exit

 

Quits tsEdit

Edit

Add Knots

 

Puts tsEdit in Add-knots mode from which the user can add knots by clicking on the graph.

 

Delete Knots

 

Puts tsEdit in Delete-knots mode from which the user can remove knots by clicking on them.

 

Copy

 

Copies current graph to computer's clipboard.

Options

 

Allows user to specify type of graph, type of interpolation method, axes values, and other information affecting the functioning of tsEdit.

 

Zoom

 

Explains how to zoom in on graph. Zoom-in by dragging the mouse pointer while holding the Ctrl key.

 

Reset Zoom

 

Returns a zoomed graph to original its state.

 

Lock Axes

 

Allows the lock or unlock the maximum and minimum values on a graph. Unlocked axes change as the user drags knots beyond current extremes; locked axes do not.

 

Remap Axes

 

If the user has imported a bitmap image of another graph, this tool allows the user to specify tsEdit axes values that exactly overlay those of the bitmap image.
