Starting tsEdit from the Other Applications

tsEdit has special features when it is started from another application or when a *.tse file is dropped onto the tsEdit.exe file from within Windows. Specifically, it tsEdit is invoked with a command line argument

It automatically load that file, and

It shows a "Cancel" button and an "OK" button at the bottom of the graph window.

These features let programmers of other applications call tsEdit from other applications and have it appear to the user as though tsEdit is part of the calling program.

When invoked with a command-line argument

tsEdit assumes that the first argument of the command line contains the entire path of the input file. Other arguments are ignored.

tsEdit skips the splash screen.

The OK button saves a tsEdit file (*.tse) with the same path and filename indicated in the command-line argument, then exits tsEdit.

The Cancel button exits tsEdit without prompting the user to save changes.
